Landscape Enhancement Lead

Rock Solid Landscape is a full-service lawn and landscape company based out of Northwest Ohio. We are hiring an Enhancement Lead to run day-to-day landscape enhancement services safely, on time, and to our quality standards. This is a working crew lead position, you will lead and train a small team while working hands-on in the field.

What you’ll do
-Landscape bed maintenance (mulching, stone, pruning, weed control)
-Locates and/or transplants shrubs, trees, and flowers according to a landscape plan
-Trims shrubs and cultivates gardens
-Preparing and grading terrain
-Plants new and repairs established lawns using seed or sod
-Spring/fall/leaf cleanups
-Perform lawn applications (chemical applications) as scheduled and correctly
-Aeration and other lawn services
-Recognize and report irrigation issues on properties being serviced
-Monitor quality, communicate issues, and complete required documentation
-Keep equipment organized, maintained, and report material/equipment needs
-Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment safely, including daily fluid checks
-Work hours needed to hit production goals, including occasional Fridays or Saturdays during peak season as required

What we’re looking for
-Proven ability to lead, train, and hold a crew accountable
-Strong communication with customers and teammates
-Bilingual in Spanish a plus
-Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
-Able to stand/work 8+ hours per day and lift/carry up to 50 lbs
-Able to walk, bend, crouch, stoop, dig, rake, and push a fertilizer spreader
-Able to operate vehicles and landscape equipment
-Valid driver’s license, and ability to meet physical requirements and drug/alcohol testing for a DOT medical card if needed
-Willing to follow Rock Solid Landscape uniform standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
