Peter Majo Landscaping is a commercial property services firm specializing in management, infrastructure installation, and multi-season maintenance of multi-unit residential strata communities throughout the Lower Mainland. From smart-water management to high-end grounds renovations, we provide comprehensive asset care for high-density properties. We are hiring a versatile and experienced Senior Landscape Strata Irrigation Installer.

Position Overview

This skilled role bridges the gap between complex landscape construction and precision water management. Much of your work will focus on the technical execution, layout, and structural installation of subterranean sprinkler systems for expansive strata grids. Additionally, you will lead a small team of 2 to 3 labourers in the physical execution of hardscape and softscape site renovations (including masonry, retaining features, grading, and specimen planting). Operating as a working supervisor, you will ensure that we meet municipal bylaws, WorkSafeBC safety, and individual strata council specifications.

Key Responsibilities

· Read site drawings and landscape blueprints to independently measure, trench, and install multi-zone subterranean sprinkler networks, sizing lateral/main lines and fitting commercial zone valves.

· Direct and execute high-volume seasonal system pressurization (spring startups) and high-pressure compressor line clearings (autumn winterization).

· Supervise and assist in the structural installation of landscape hardscapes, including interlocking pavers, flagstone walkways, timber or block retaining walls, drainage systems, and aggregate bases.

· Direct grading, soil and the installation of large-scale turf, privacy cedar hedging, ornamental shrubs, and mature tree assets across strata common spaces.

· Safely operate and oversee the use of site-prep machinery, including skid steers, mini-excavators, trenchers, and specialized commercial power tools.

· Direct and train teams of 1 to 3 laborers on-site, ensuring high quality control, efficient time management, and complete adherence to WorkSafeBC mandates.

· Keep detailed digital logs of structural amendments, project materials, and irrigation blueprints. Report progress directly to the owner and communicate professionally with strata councils or property managers.

Employment & Qualification Requirements

· Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

· Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct, verifiable field experience in commercial landscape construction and professional irrigation installation is required.

· Good knowledge of water flow hydraulics, pressure calculations, plumbing fittings and heavy landscape construction mediums.

· Basic operational knowledge of MS Word and MS Outlook for field reporting and email communications.

· A valid British Columbia Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required to transport crew and machinery to various Lower Mainland strata developments.

· Functional written and oral English language proficiency is required to interpret structural blueprints, generate progress tracking, and communicate with strata representatives.
