This is a good fit for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in physical work, and wants to build skills in landscape construction. We are especially interested in applicants with skid steer, equipment, trucking, construction, or snow removal experience.
About the Position
During the landscape season, you will assist with a variety of construction and landscaping projects, including hardscaping, soil work, planting, irrigation, mulching, site cleanup, and equipment operation.
In the winter, the position transitions into commercial snow and ice management. Winter work includes snow clearing, walkway maintenance, equipment operation, and responding to snow events during early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and cold weather conditions.
Please only apply if you are willing and able to work through the winter snow removal season.
Duties May Include
- Assisting with paving stone, retaining walls, stairs, and other hardscape installations

- Working outdoors in heat, cold, dust, rain, snow, and changing weather conditions
- Winter snow removal, shovelling, sanding/salting, and maintaining commercial walkways
- Some overtime and weekend work depending on weather and project schedules
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence required
- Previous landscape, construction, equipment, or manual labour experience is preferred
- Skid steer experience is a strong asset and may qualify for higher starting pay
- Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work hard
- Must be comfortable with physical outdoor work
- Must be available for winter snow removal work
Winter SUB Program
Employees who stay on through the winter may be eligible for our SUB program. If you qualify for and are receiving Employment Insurance, the SUB program may top up your income to approximately 85% of your normal earnings during periods when there is no snow work available.
When it snows, you will be expected to work. When there is no snow, qualified employees may still receive income support through the SUB program.
Compensation
Starting wage is $17–$25/hr, depending on experience, reliability, equipment skills, and ability to work independently.
