Responsibilities

• Operate laundry machines and equipment to wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing with precision and care
• Sort laundry items according to color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal results
• Handle delicate items with special care, including dry cleaning processes when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by organizing supplies and ensuring equipment is properly sanitized and functioning
• Follow safety protocols and proper chemical handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Assist with inventory management by tracking linen supplies and notifying supervisors when stock needs replenishing
• Support overall hotel cleanliness efforts by assisting in light cleaning tasks as needed

Skills

• Proven experience in laundry operations or hotel housekeeping preferred
• Knowledge of various cleaning techniques including washing, drying, folding, ironing, and dry cleaning processes
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control in linen presentation
• Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads when necessary
• Familiarity with safety standards related to chemical handling and equipment use

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.65-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
