Job Summary

Launders linens to supply hotel, restaurants, facilities and wardrobe areas

Roles and Responsibilities

• Sort dirty linen including towels, sheets, pillow cases, bath rugs, blankets, table linen, mops and rags
• Opens, counts, washes and dries new linens
• Identifies wash and dry cycles and enters in automated system
• Loads and unloads washers and dryers
• Responds to system alarms and resets cycles based on alarm message
• Feeds linen into various machines for drying and folding
• Removes finished linen from conveyor
• Counts and stacks linen on linen carts
• Documents finished linen production as required
• Check and stocks linen carts and other supplies
• Delivers carts to hotel linen closets
• Loads/unloads trailer with linen and transports between hotel towers
• Performs other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or Equivalent
• Ability to read and respond to messages in the automated laundry system
• Basic reading skills will be tested directly related to the duties of the job
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
• Ability to push, pull, lift and carry heavy loads on a continuous basis
• Able and willing to be trained on the operation and use of the "Husky Tugger" equipment
• Must successfully pass a standard testing and certification on the operation and use of the "Husky Tugger" equipment during the probationary/trial period
