We are a women led business, and we believe every detail matters.We are looking for a Lead Barista to bring our story to life.This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who loves coffee, hospitality, and creating meaningful moments for people through food and service.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso, matcha, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care
• Provide warm and genuine hospitality to every guest
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
• Support daily operations including restocking, opening, and closing duties
• Ability to craft both coffee and select alcoholic beverages with consistency and professionalism, ensuring each drink reflects the standard of leading Vancouver cafés.
• Assist with pastry display and ensure beautiful product presentation
• Work closely with the team to ensure smooth and coordinated service
• Follow all health and safety standards and uphold Lavinia’s quality and service protocols

• Calm under pressure and adaptable in a fast paced environment
• Team player with a strong sense of presentation and pride in service
• Passion for food, pastries, and café culture

Experience

• At least 2+ years of barista experience and 3+ years of hospitality or customer service experience
• Experience handling Square POS systems
• Proficiency with La Marzocco espresso machines
• Knowledge of matcha preparation and presentation
• Food Safe Level 1 (recommended)
• Availability on weekends and mornings

Nice to Have

• Art latte skills
• Interest in Peruvian flavours and brunch culture
• Previous experience in café openings or boutique hospitality environments
