This regional role focuses on the unique needs of Ontario Health’s North East and North West regions.
- Advise on healthcare system funding plans and manage project plans and budgets for planning and integration initiatives.
- Lead implementation monitoring and quality improvement for ALC best practices, particularly in avoiding unnecessary hospital admissions.
- Analyze local healthcare systems using provincial data and community input to identify gaps and set planning priorities.
- Apply planning methodologies such as needs-based predictive models and community engagement.
- Promote high-quality research and lead the development of planning methodologies.
- Conduct stakeholder consultations, assess planning impacts, and build consensus for action.
- Contribute to provincial planning activities and foster a culture of integration and coordination.
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and promote a culture of patient safety.
- Support adherence to health service accountability agreements and coordinate regional quality and safety initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Post-secondary education in health administration, health planning, business administration or a related field with Master’s level degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a health care environment.
- Strong planning and analysis skills with the ability to make effective recommendations.
- Understanding of Ontario’s healthcare system dynamics.
- Experience in seniors care, community care, and hospital environments is an asset.
- Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives.
- Financial competence and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
