Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Carpenter to spearhead our construction projects, ensuring top-tier craftsmanship and seamless project execution. As a pivotal team leader, you will oversee daily tasks on-site, coordinate crew members, and uphold safety standards while delivering exceptional results. Your expertise in various construction disciplines will drive efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction. Duties
- Lead and supervise construction crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and technical drawings to guide project execution accurately
- Coordinate with Superintendents and subcontractors to plan daily activities, allocate resources, and meet deadlines
- Perform estimating, framing, carpentry, rough Carpentry, Misc Concrete forming, temporary structures, hoardings, heater setup and maintenance, doors, and various other tasks.
- Manage site safety protocols by conducting regular inspections for hazards.
- Ensure real-time quality control through ongoing inspections
- Facilitate communication among team members regarding safety, project scope and to address any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, timesheets, inspections, and material inventory.
Experience
- Proven leadership experience as a Lead Carpenter in the commercial construction industry with a focus on diverse task coordination such as carpentry, concrete, general conditions, precast, steel, excavations, and masonry.
- Extensive hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools and blueprint reading
- Knowledge of safety standards and site hazard mitigation
- Familiarity with industry’s best practices
- Ability to perform and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members, subcontractors, and clients effectively
- Experienced and comfortable working at heights
- Experience and certification in rigging, and in the operation of construction equipment such as skid steers, telehandlers, and arial lifts is considered an asset.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36.95-$39.07 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
