Introduction:
About the role

The Room Leader/Lead Educator provides a high standard of Education and Care through the development and implementation of contemporary Early Childhood Education or Middle Childhood Education Programs that reflects the Principles and Practices of the Early Years Learning Framework or My Time Our Place Framework.

The Lead Educator is required to oversee health and safety, quality programming and documentation in line with QA1 and oversight of day to day operations such as (but not limited) medical management, provision of food and water requirements, supervision of children etc.

The incumbent in this role is required to manage performance of Educators and ensure that Educators are provided with professional guidance, supervision and performance development planning to ensure they are aware of and working in accordance with their Position Description.

The position will be located in the Bruce Ridge Early Learning Centre and will be working 75 hours per fortnight (Monda - Friday) in the Nursery Room.

Ideal candidates:
ACECQA approved qualification (Diploma or Bachelor degree), First Aid training in Education and care Services, Anaphylaxis management training, emergency asthma management training and food safety supervisor certificate.
Prior experience in a similar role would advantageous.
Possess the personal attributes of optimism, resilience and flexibility.
Demonstrated understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, Framework and Standards.

CRCS also requires all employees to:
Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may affect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position.
