The Role
There’s never a typical day as a Lead, Mainframe zCapacity System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data and capacity adjustments and reporting for our clients. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Who You Are
- Maintain solution for collection, consolidation and aggregation of SMF records.
- Establish WLM policies for new LPARs and maintain old ones.
- Allocate CPU and memory resources within LPAR.
- Monitor Resource usage and trends for zOS, LPARs and subsystems.
- Maintain System Usage Reports.
- Maintain MXG and SAS code and manage reporting jobs.
- Maintain Hardware capacity adjustments according to customer requirements and global performance.
- Assist with performance issues.
- Keep Capacity planning and reporting related documentation up-to-date.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Ideally 5 years or more of experience in Capacity planning, administration and reporting.
- Programming skills and experience (SAS, web).
- z/OS design, z/OS performance features, software consolidation projects.
- Experience of z/OS monitors.
- Knowledge and experience of TWSC and WLM.
- Simple LPAR management (HCD parameters).
- Self-initiated software maintenance and error fixing.
- Ability to learn new features and deduct problems in customer value chain.
- Proficient in English (must have).
- Experience of Examine, ITBI Services Portal or other capable tool for Capacity reporting.
- ITIL process knowledge.
