Description:
The Lead Senior Airline Sourcing Manager, APAC will be the market expert in their designated region, managing the sourcing for all lines of business including crew sourcing, DPAX sourcing, transportation sourcing, universal rates and transient/corporate rates. In addition to sourcing, the Lead Senior Airline Sourcing Manager, APAC will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the APAC sourcing team. Role responsibilities and expectations are outlined below.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Handle and coordinate multiple projects (RFPs) in an efficient and timely manner per SLAs
  • Conduct market research, property analysis and market RFPs consistent with each clients’ specifications for crew accommodations
  • Monitor markets for price changes and escalate risk and opportunities, becoming a hotel market expert in assigned region
  • Identify savings and revenue potential in markets
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure swift/accurate handover of RFP results to clients
  • Manage the APAC sourcing team for day-to-day needs and supervision (HR/payroll items remain with the Global Director of Airline Sourcing)
  • Manage assignments and balance workload of team
  • Monitor due dates and turnovers of assignments to ensure due dates are met
  • Review vetted hotel lists before SMs send out RFPs to ensure accuracy
  • Review final options prior to submission/COM to AM teams for accuracy
  • Approval of time off requests in coordination with Global Director
  • Responsible for assignment tracker sheet
  • Troubleshoot any TAConnect IPC issues with team/hotels and escalate as needed via support link
  • Work on any indicative rate reports needed for Business Development team
  • New hire training in APAC region (and EMEA region as needed)
  • Compose market intel reports for small- and mid-sized markets as assigned
  • Effectively communicate with both internal and external customers
  • In-depth understanding of the needs of clients’ operations as well as understanding their requirements for both accommodations and transport
  • Establish strong relationships with hotel and transportations vendors
  • Ensure the accuracy of all work prior to handover
  • Complete and negotiate Fee Agreements as needed and per client
  • Maintain an understanding and working knowledge of hotel brands and management companies and maintain the Global Reps contacts are updated for the region
  • Compile and submit assigned reports
  • Maintain contact database within proprietary RFP tool
  • Travel and conduct hotel site visits as assigned
  • Follow-up on New Business Leads for APAC region and update IPC/AIR as needed
  • Review for accuracy and countersign any URA agreements in the APAC region
  • Manage any brand wide and management company-wide URA agreements regionally
  • Team compliance checks for SOPs and goals tracking
  • End-of-year team performance reviews
  • Work to manage RFP renewals pipeline in coordination with regional AM teams
  • Work to compile & manage details of account key terms and sourcing limits (commissions caps, rebates, etc.)
  • Manage the assignments of DPAX escalations support requests in the APAC region
  • Manage and maintain global client specs
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned
