Lead Senior Project Manager

Within Vestas R&D, Offshore Solutions is responsible for defining and delivering the offshore wind turbine product offerings, including our flagship V236-15MW offshore wind turbine. Our offshore project management team, which you will be a key part of, oversees Vestas latest generations of offshore turbines. Responsibilities
  • Oversee program of complex sub-projects that span multiple lines and value chain functions across multiple business units
  • Provide clear leadership, both onsite and remotely, by motivating and guiding team members to achieve project targets
  • Facilitate and ensure program-level scoping and budget accountability to support the realization of the overall program business case
  • Actively facilitate stakeholder engagement by ensuring effective information flow and maintaining clear communication with senior management.
  • Monitor program milestones (A-level) and both internal and external commercial deadlines
  • Actively balancing the risk profile of the program and providing transparency in present risk level
  • Ensure proper delegation of work assignments to project managers assigned to your program

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration or other related fields
  • Documented experience +8 years with Program management or project management of large, complex projects in a global project organization
  • Formal project management training and certification (e.g. IPMA Level B or A, Prince2 Practitioner, Project Management Professional (MPM))
  • Wind energy industry experience is desirable but not a must

  • Feels comfortable in making the required decisions and setting direction when it matters
  • Good communication skills with the ability to address senior management as well as 1-on-1 dialogues with colleagues
  • Result-focus throughout the project team and a focus on opportunities rather than obstacles
  • Keep sight of our overall targets and commitments maintain focus also when facing challenges and constantly focus on our end goals
