The Backyard Care Company seeks a customer-focused and detail-oriented individual to be its Lead Field Technicianin the Atlanta market. This individual will be a critical part of our early team, driving service delivery and customer experience, and have opportunities to grow with the organization over time if desired.

The Role

The Lead Field Technician will be a dynamic role, evolving as the business grows. This is a role for someone who understands that building a new company is deeply rewarding but requires everyone involved to be scrappy and solution-oriented. This person will be in the field, interacting with customers, and performing all of our core services in both residential and commercial contexts. This role will be heavily involved in 3 key areas.

• Service delivery
• Customer experience and communication
• Facilities and materials management

This will begin as an hourly role with a guarantee of 32 hours, but as the market steadily expands, there is an opportunity for this to become a full-time, salaried position. This role is based in Atlanta, Georgia

Qualifications

The right individual for this position will be self-motivated, take pride in their work, and be eager to grow within the company as it scales. Dedication to quality service, an ownership mentality, responsibility to commitments, a willingness to learn, and the desire to solve new challenges as they occur are also key.

Other requirements include:

• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• The ability to work independently throughout the work day
• The ability to load and carry/wear a backpack-style sprayer or applicator
• The ability to lift heavy objects such as bags of fertilizer or other relevant materials
• A willingness to work outside in different types of weather conditions
• Experience with residential services, pest control, route-based businesses, or logistics is valued but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

License/Certification:

• Pesticide Applicator’s License (Preferred)
