The opportunity:

The position is based on the University of Manitoba's Fort Garry Campus. The incumbent is part of the Annual Giving team and works to increase annual support for the University of Manitoba at the leadership level ($1,000 - $25,000) and build the pipeline for future support. Responsible for planning and execution of the annual Faculty, Staff, and Retiree campaign. Reporting to the Manager, Annual Giving, Leadership Giving Officer will be focused on qualifying, soliciting, and managing leadership annual giving donors and prospects to enhance continued and increased support to the University of Manitoba.. The incumbent will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors by engaging prospects through a variety of mediums (face-to-face, phone/online or in writing). The incumbent will also support special projects, pipeline development, referrals to major gifts and gift planning.

The qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

  • University Degree required.
  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation an asset.
  • Equivalent of 3 years directly related experience in fundraising required.
  • Personal solicitation, both telephone and face-to-face, experience required.
  • Experience working with Raiser's Edge preferred.
  • An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Skilled in dealing effectively with all levels of the University community, the public, and outside organizations and agencies required.
  • Above average communication skills, both verbal and written, with public speaking skills required.- Excellent training and people skills required.
  • Ability to be articulate, motivational, enthusiastic, and comfortable working in a computerized environment is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working both independently and as a team member required.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise and take independent action required.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and supervise activities required.
  • Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.

Pay: $62,680.80-$89,234.60 per year
