About the Role

Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting Learning & Development Manager role just for you! In this position, you’ll get to provide a strategic learning and development support service to all levels of the organisation and manage the company’s communications function to contribute to the achievement of the company’s key business goals, making a real impact.

  • Designing and delivering specialist training programmes at all levels across the company, with emphasis on management level training.
  • Compiling an annual training plan and schedules for business unit budgets.
  • Improving the skills and competencies of employees by implementing and managing relevant learning and development programmes, pathways, e-learning platforms, and databases.
  • Working with the Training Champions Group to ensure consistency of learning outcomes and supporting training champions with the implementation of learning initiatives for the training Institutes.
  • Liaising with industry training organisations and providers on vocational pathways development.
  • Managing relationships with key training providers to ensure the delivery of specialist training.
  • Compiling learning and development information for business tenders as required by operations.
  • Developing companywide competency risk-based framework to provide consistency across the business.
  • Understanding and implementing the company health and safety policy and taking reasonable care of own health and safety and the health and safety of others.
  • Setting a personal example on all matters of health and safety and participate in Perimeter/BU worker participation practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or similar field is required.
  • Competence in the design and delivery of learning programmes through relevant platforms.
  • High level oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound organisation and planning skills, with special reference to the administrative and project requirements of the position.
  • Ability to provide management with advice on a range of required people development initiatives.
  • Able to identify and recommend key learning outcomes for the business.
  • Flexibility to work in multiple business locations.
