Introduction:
The Heart of the Role

The Teacher of Learning Enrichment (Preparatory School) provides support and guidance to Preparatory School staff in the development and delivery of high-quality programs that meet the diverse learning needs of students. This role is instrumental in ensuring that every boy is challenged, supported, and inspired to achieve his personal best — academically, socially, and emotionally.

Working closely with the Coordinator of Learning Enrichment (Preparatory School), classroom teachers, and specialist staff, you will develop and implement evidence-based strategies and individual learning plans that foster inclusion, differentiation, and authentic engagement. You will contribute to a culture of excellence, care, and Christian character that defines a Scots education.

Who are you?

You are a qualified and passionate educator with experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in primary or preparatory school settings.

You have a strong understanding of learning enrichment principles, including differentiation, cognitive development, and effective intervention practices.

You are committed to ensuring that each student — regardless of ability — experiences success, growth, and a sense of belonging in the classroom.

You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and you work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and specialist teams to develop effective learning programs.

You demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and a commitment to continuous professional learning.

You hold, or are eligible for, accreditation with NESA and a valid Working With Children Check (NSW).

You bring an authentic Christian faith that shapes your approach to teaching, relationships, and service.

Where do you fit in?

You are energised by the opportunity to serve within a Christian, Presbyterian GPS school committed to excellence in boys’ education.

You are motivated by purpose — fostering the potential of every student and contributing to a community where learning differences are recognised, valued, and supported.

You thrive in a Team of Teams model, working collaboratively to ensure alignment between academic support, pastoral care, and student wellbeing.

You see your role as both educator and mentor — helping boys develop confidence, resilience, and independence in their learning.

How do you serve others?

You build strong, positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues based on respect, empathy, and professionalism.

You work alongside classroom teachers to develop and implement effective, differentiated teaching strategies.

You design and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions that respond to each student’s unique learning profile.

You communicate regularly with families, providing clarity, encouragement, and partnership in supporting their son’s educational journey.

You model reflective practice, continuous improvement, and Christian servant leadership in all that you do.

What do we offer?

An opportunity to be part of a team committed to nurturing fine young men of faith, character, and purpose.

A dynamic and supportive teaching environment where faith and learning are integrated and celebrated.

Professional development opportunities to enhance expertise in learning support and enrichment.

Access to a range of staff benefits, including:
Free barista coffee and lunches

Employee Assistance Program

Access to The Scots College transport system

Medical services and on-campus gym

Salary packaging options

The Scots College reserves the right not to proceed with any appointment.
