About you:

We are looking for team players who have energy, enthusiasm and a caring and calm manner. This is the perfect place for a passionate Learning Support Assistant to bring new, fresh ideas and help transform the opportunities for the local community. You will be working with students who have a broad range of academic, social, emotional and mental health needs and will ideally have the skills to promote inclusion and participation beyond the school environment.

We are looking for an individual who:

  • Enjoys working with young people.
  • Is resilient.
  • Has high expectations and is a good team player.
  • Is self-motivating and able to encourage others.
  • Is keen and determined to help students overcome the barriers to learning they face on a daily basis, including inclusion support.

In return Ormiston Denes Academy will offer you:

  • An opportunity to join a supportive and experienced department at an Academy with a strong ethos of teamwork and support, where staff are committed to raising attainment.
  • Development for staff through nationally recognised training courses.
  • Access to a range of resources and opportunities through our Academy Trust.
  • Guidance, advice, and support from the senior leadership team who all want to make a positive difference to the education of all students at Ormiston Denes Academy.

If you are looking to work in a vibrant academy which expects high standards from students, places a high value on the professional development of its staff, and feel you have the qualities to meet the demands of this rewarding position then we wish to hear from you.

Closing date for applications is 13 December 2024. Please note that the Academy withholds the right to withdraw the advert at any time, or interview suitable candidates before the closing date.

Ormiston Denes Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. Ormiston Academies Trust embraces diversity and promotes equality of opportunity.

All successful appointments will be subject to suitability checks in accordance with KCSIE, including identity, Right to Work, qualifications, online searches, prohibition check, two references and enhanced DBS check including Children’s Barred List.
