About the Role:
Curtin University's School of Nursing is inviting applications from motivated and dynamic individuals to join our team as a Lecturer (Teaching Academic) in the Paramedicine discipline. We have two permanent, continuing positions available, with the flexibility to choose either full-time or part-time options (minimum 0.4 FTE).
The teaching responsibilities include utilising various instructional methods - such as online, distributed, and face-to-face activities - to enhance student learning. Educators are expected to collaborate on curriculum design, assess student needs, provide tailored support, and supervise postgraduate and honours students. Ongoing professional development and effective management of related administrative tasks are encouraged. Additionally, supporting the transition of first-year students to university and ensuring equitable assistance for diverse populations are key priorities.

Who we are looking for:
- Registered as a Paramedic with AHPRA registration.
- A doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline (or equivalent accreditation and professional standing for Teaching Focused Clinical Professional role).
- Demonstrated high-level teaching skills and a reflective approach to teaching delivery.
- A strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline.
- An emerging record of contribution to scholarship in teaching.
- Demonstrated experience/capacity to undertake unit coordination.
- Demonstrated high-level communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross-cultural sensitivity.
- Demonstrated commitment to the application of relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position.
- As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
- Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction.
