About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Professional Project Manager to join the School of Design and the Built Environment as a teaching-focused Lecturer. We welcome applications from individuals with professional experience in project management across various industries and sectors, including:

  • Organisational Change
In this role, you will be part of a vibrant institution and a dynamic team dedicated to teaching, research, and community engagement. Your work will significantly contribute to the excellence in teaching within the school.
The successful candidate will be a passionate educator with relevant industry experience, capable of developing and delivering curriculum for our postgraduate coursework degrees. This will involve coordinating and/or teaching units both in-person and online. A strong ability to connect emerging technologies with professional practices in project management will be highly valued. The position will also require engagement with students, collaborators, and industry partners.

Selection Criteria Requirements:
  • A Masters degree or PhD in Project Management, or a directly related field.
  • Evidence of industry experience as a Project Manager and successful delivery of past projects.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide mentoring to less experienced staff or students.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Evidence of the development and delivery of high-quality teaching or training in Project Management and/or its related fields.
  • Track record of engagement with industry, community, or government in relation to teaching.
  • Professionally recognised credentials or memberships (e.g. PMP, RegPM, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, etc.)
  • Experience working as a Program Manager or Portfolio Manager overseeing programs or portfolios of projects..
Role Requirements:
  • As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
