Position Overview

We are looking for a resourceful and efficient Legal Assistant to support our legal processes and serve as a liaison between our company, attorneys, and clients. This role requires a thorough approach, attention to detail, excellent multitasking skills, and the ability to manage strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Occasional travel, including overnight stays, will be required.

Key Responsibilities

● Serve as the primary point of contact with the attorney’s office via phone, email, and online portals.

● Proactively monitor accounts with established payment arrangements and ensure timely updates.

● Track and document legal account statuses, securing updates from attorneys on a regular basis.

● Work with management and the attorney’s office to determine appropriate legal actions on accounts.

● Partner with recovery specialists to support the timely recovery of accounts in legal proceedings.

● Negotiate payment arrangements with customers when possible to prevent escalation to legal action.

● Prepare, organize, and submit new legal files with complete documentation to the attorney’s office.

● Review, process, and accurately record attorney invoices in a timely manner.

● Provide witness testimony in court cases when needed, which may require travel.

Requirements

● Prior office experience required.

● Proficiency with Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel.

● Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.

● Proficiency with office software, equipment, and standard procedures.

● Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively.

● Strong stress management and problem-solving skills.

● Willingness and ability to travel as required (including overnight stays).
