Melissa M Young Law Professional Corporation, is currently recruiting for a Family Law Clerk.
This is a fulltime permanent opportunity to start as soon as possible.
Accountabilities will include:
- Prepare legal documents (Applications, Answers, Affidavits, Financial Statement, etc.);
- Organizing files;
- Record keeping (including bookkeeping);
- Court runs;
- Other general administrative duties, as required.
Requirements include:
- Preference will be given to candidates with a College Diploma in Law Clerk and 1-3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in Family Law;
- Good understanding of Family Law Rules;
- Business Equipment and Computer Applications (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.);
- Legal Software Applications (Divorcemate and Soluno);
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are required.
- Efficient and understanding of deadlines.
Compensation:
Compensation commensurate with experience.
