Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Law Clerk to support our legal team with research, drafting, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent writing abilities, and familiarity with legal research tools. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a professional legal environment while contributing to case preparation and document management.
Asset: Experience in the field of Immigration and Family Law.
Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and other legal databases to support case development.
- Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents, memos, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Proofread and review legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to formatting standards.
- Manage and organize case files using iManage or similar document management systems.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of case information and client details.
- Support project management activities related to ongoing cases or legal initiatives.
- Interview clients, witnesses, or other stakeholders as needed for case preparation.
- File documents electronically and physically in accordance with court procedures.
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when communicating with clients, courts, or external agencies.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling, filing, and managing correspondence.
Experience
- Prior administrative or clerical experience in a legal setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in proofreading, legal drafting, and research techniques.
- Familiarity with legal software such as LexisNexis, iManage, and project management tools is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in interviewing clients or witnesses is a plus.
- Ability to handle data entry accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times. This role is ideal for candidates seeking hands-on experience in the legal field while developing essential skills in research, documentation, and client interaction within a professional environment.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
