Legal Counsel (M/F/D)

At Sircle Collection, we create and operate design-led hotels and hospitality brands across Europe that bring people together in beautifully crafted spaces. To support our growing portfolio and keep our operations running smoothly, we’re looking for a Legal Counsel (fulltime) to join our team in the heart of Amsterdam.

About the role

As Legal Counsel, you’ll be the go-to advisor for all things legal across our hotel operations. From reviewing commercial agreements and managing permits to supporting our European expansion and keeping us GDPR-compliant—you’ll ensure we’re protected, prepared, and legally sound.

You’ll work closely with our Executive Team, department leads, and our colleagues at SMB Capital to provide clear, pragmatic legal advice that balances business goals with compliance. This is what you’re going to as a Legal Counsel

• Advising our operational departments of the Sircle Collection hotel group on day-to-day legal questions, risk and strategy.

• Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and financial agreements

• Supporting disputes, litigation, and negotiations when needed

• Making sure all our hotels have the right permits and licenses to operate

• Providing legal support for the group’s expansion throughout Europe

• Keeping us up to date with evolving laws—especially in corporate, GDPR, IT, and marketing

• Collaborating with external parties like notaries and legal advisors

• Translating complex legal language into clear, actionable advice for stakeholders

This is why you are the best candidate

We’re looking for someone with a Masters degree in Dutch law and a minimum of 4 years of legal experience, preferably as a lawyer (civil law) at a reputable law firm.

Together with:

• You’re confident working with operational and commercial contracts

• You have experience with corporate law, claims, and litigation

• You’re fluent in Dutch and English—both written and spoken

• You’re business-savvy, detail-oriented, and can juggle multiple tasks with ease

• You’re collaborative, clear in your communication, and love working across cultures
