Leisure Centre Attendant

The Maritime Hotel in Bantry is currently seeking a qualified and motivated Leisure Centre Attendant to join our team. This is a dynamic, customer-facing role that includes lifeguarding, gym instruction, reception duties, and general leisure centre operations.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about health and wellbeing, has a strong commitment to safety, and enjoys delivering excellent service in a team-oriented environment.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the leisure centre
• Supervise the pool area, ensuring the safety of all guests (lifeguarding duties)
• Greet members and guests, manage reception duties, and provide outstanding customer service
• Instruct clients on the safe and effective use of gym equipment
• Conduct fitness assessments and implement personalised fitness programmes
• Assist with cleaning, equipment checks, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment

What We’re Looking For

• Level 1 Lifeguard Qualification (essential)
• Previous experience in a leisure or fitness role is preferred
• A strong communicator who enjoys working in a people-focused setting
• A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• A strong commitment to excellent customer service and safety standards
