About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate the delivery of a range of innovative, strategic, and user-focused Library Research Services. This role is designed to meet the needs of Swinburne researchers and to support the University's blended and online teaching, learning, and research programs.
The successful candidate will provide leadership, supervision, and direction to Library staff involved in the development, delivery, and promotion of these services. They will be responsible for developing, promoting, and evaluating research support initiatives, ensuring that all Library Research Services are well-organised, effectively delivered, and aligned with priority needs.
This position works in close partnership with liaison librarians and reports directly to the Manager, Research and Academic Engagement.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Knowledge of cross-discipline research cultures and the requirements of a library support service for research
- Current knowledge of the higher education and research landscape in Australia, with a thorough understanding of government directions and university research expectations.
- Experience in information management or content management, with knowledge of current technologies and trends such as institutional repositories, content management systems and metadata.
- Demonstrated understanding of emerging issues, trends, developments and standards in relation to scholarly publishing (including open access).

Qualifications
A degree level qualification in a relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
