Job Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) working the midnight shift in a full-time capacity. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and pain management techniques.
- Monitor patients’ conditions closely, recognizing signs of acute pain, infection, or deterioration requiring immediate intervention or triage.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheterization, specimen collection, wound suturing, and airway management while maintaining aseptic technique.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records adhering to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in discharge planning, case management, and long-term care coordination for geriatric and special needs patients.
- Support patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease through specialized memory care practices and behavioral health strategies during overnight shifts.
Qualifications
- Valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current state licensure.
- Proven experience in acute care settings such as hospitals (including ICU or Level I/II Trauma Centers), nursing homes, or skilled nursing facilities.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and electronic health record systems like Epic or Athenahealth.
- Experience with critical care procedures including ventilator management, tube feeding, and sterile processing techniques.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols, triage procedures, and urgent care practices.
- Ability to perform physical examinations and assessments efficiently during overnight hours while maintaining clinical accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and patients with diverse needs including those with developmental disabilities or requiring hospice care.

Additional Direct Care Worker pay on top of base pay: $3.40/hr.
Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
