You may be asking, what is a “Life Coach” and what is a "High Acuity Home"? Too, what skills do I need to possess? At Vantage Supported Living, our Life Coaches learn to be professionals who support our clients as they work towards life goals. Together, our clients and coaches focus on better quality of life, and a fun and exciting life. Did we mention “fun”? We have fun, it’s part of being a Life Coach at Vantage! A "high acuity home" consists of clients with key medical conditions, including but not limited to behavioral diagnosis. High acuity homes require specialized training or previous experience. Vantage Supported Living is currently hiring a Full-Time Life Coach for a high acuity home in our California Mo location. This position will provide Life Coach duties M-F, 3PM to 11PM. During this shift, you will be providing support to our individual(s) who need assistance with daily living due to an intellectual, developmental, or cognitive disability. Essential Responsibilities/Job Duties: Our Life Coaches work in our clients’ homes with 1-2 clients per home. Our Life Coaches are an intricate part of our clients’ productive daily living. As a responsible Life Coach, you will take clients into the community for various activities. Too, you are responsible for medication passes, documentation of services provided, daily completion of shift logs, receipt tracking and ledgers, performing home functions, preparing meals, updating grocery lists and accompany client(s) to scheduled appointments, recreational and preferred activities as needed. Our clients may require support in personal care tasks including but not limited to personal hygiene, toileting, bathing, grooming, feeding, ambulation, medical monitoring, and other health care related tasks. Minimum Requirements:- 18 years of age or older- High school degree/GED required- Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel- Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time- Must maintain state regulatory certifications & training, as required by state/program requirements (Vantage provides all trainings)-Medication Administration as required by state/program requirements- Criminal history and background check- CPR & First Aid (provided)Be a good human, do the RIGHT thing, and always be a Team Player.
