Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to an efficient kitchen operation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Assist in menu planning and development to enhance the dining experience
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
• Handle food items safely and efficiently, adhering to proper food handling protocols
• Participate in inventory management and assist with ordering supplies as needed
• Provide support during catering events, ensuring all meals are prepared to specifications

Skills

• Proven experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred
• Strong background in menu planning and meal preparation
• Fine dining experience is a plus, showcasing an understanding of high-quality service standards
• Proficient in food preparation techniques, including knife skills and cooking methods
• Familiarity with food service operations within the restaurant industry
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Excellent teamwork skills, with a focus on collaboration and communication

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
