Your Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will encompass, but not be limited to:
- Prepare ordering and deal with suppliers/ distributers / wholesalers and trade customers.
- Engage in selection, hiring and training of staff as & when required on behalf of the business
- Undertake all training programs for self and staff on a regular basis to keep them updated in terms of product knowledge, customer service and relevant government rules and regulations.
- Maintain accounts receivable and payable of the business. Maintain up to date record in infinity software.
- Maintain a record of actuals v/s targeted incomings and outgoing for each month and ensure that the budget is achieved.
- Handle cash and reconcile cash transactions and routine banking. Ensure that all monies are correct and balanced by staff at the end of every day. Any discrepancies or errors founds are investigated and if not fixed elevated to next level up.
- Prepare and record various financial and stock related documents. Staff payee, staff roster, GST filing and End of week and end of month reporting to Company accountant and Director.
- Promote yourself and other staff members to advise customers on the products available and follow the ‘suggestive’ selling technique.
- Train staff to assist customers in making product selections and deal appropriately with intoxicated individuals and those attempting to obtain liquor illegally.
- Monitor & maintain stock levels whilst ensuring both overs and under are avoided and wastage is minimised. Report any deviations or exceptions to Director.
- Maintaining healthy relationships with all the suppliers and liaise with them as and when required.
- Inwards receipts completed in timely manner Record and resolve any discrepancies which may arise and escalate the same to the director if required.
- Ensuring pricing tickets are displayed on shelves. Tickets are printed well in advance before start of new cycle and time to time changes when price change in the system.
- Operate point of sale terminals when required & maintain cash registers.
- Set priorities and business standards to improve the current workings Formulate roster and ensure that proper duties & responsibilities have been delegated to staff.
- Ensure that the operations of the Liquor Store comply with Health and Safety Regulations and standards along with all other relevant government legislations.
- Ensure that the store is kept clean, tidy, and always well-presented and all in-store merchandising is completed, updated and maintained.
- Follow product trends and introduce new lines of stock to the business with the aim to increase sales and profit.
- Remain updated on competition and conduct regular market research.
- Making sure object of the liquor act is maintained all time and no lapses in it.
May be required to perform additional duties from time to time.
For consideration in this pivotal role, possessing a current General Manager's Certificate (Or must be eligible to get it), a Drivers License, physical fitness (as some heavy lifting is involved), and availability for late nights and weekends are non-negotiable prerequisites.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 – $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
Supplementary Pay:
- Performance bonus
