Mid-Level Litigation Lawyer, minimum of 4 years experience in Ontario

Gionet Fairley Wood LLP is a boutique litigation firm based in Barrie, Ontario. With a focus on litigation and advocacy throughout Ontario, our practice areas include Estate Litigation, Construction Law, Real Estate and Real Property Litigation, Commercial Litigation, and Employment Law.

We are seeking to hire a litigation associate with a minimum of 4 years’ experience to join our team.

The successful candidate will have the chance to work with experienced and highly regarded lawyers in their field and the community.

We are looking for candidates who have litigation experience and a desire to contribute to a growing law firm. Gionet Fairley Wood offers quality mentoring, challenging legal work, in a collaborative work environment. Prior experience in estate, construction and/or commercial litigation is an asset but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on practice area related cases, including but not limited to, Construction Law, Real Estate and Real Property Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Estate Litigation and Employment Law.

Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions, with precision and clarity.

Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court proceedings effectively.

Utilize Lexis-Nexis for case law research and to support litigation strategies.

Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to ensure comprehensive case management.

Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations impacting construction litigation.

Salary + Performance bonus based on experience.

Pay: $85,000.00-$118,916.32 per year
