Elmira Psychiatric Center Children and Adolescents Inpatient unit

Salary dependent on education, licensure and experience

Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Friday.

Job Duties:

*This position requires occasional weekend coverage as indicated below**
7:30-4 or 8-4:30 LMSW or LCSW

1. Provide individual, group, and family therapy on the Children and Families Unit consistent with the goals established within the individual service plan.
2. Take the lead in communication with family members, collateral contacts, supports for individuals served. Attend all individual service plan meetings, provide input into service planning meetings.
3. Complete psychosocial assessment and annual updates within established time frames
4. Attend discipline related in-services monthly. Attend any scheduled clinical supervision and unit social work meetings.
5. Document patient progress in weekly and monthly progress notes. Complete additional progress notes as needed.
6. Complete the UCLA PTSD RI and the Individual Crisis Wellness Recovery Plan (ICWRP) for all assigned individuals within designated time frames.
7. Coordinate discharge plans in conjunction with the treatment team. Complete discharge paperwork.
8. Complete referrals for SPOA and placement options in collaboration with a SWA and treatment team.
9. Provide meal coverage as scheduled.
10. Provide group therapy as scheduled on a weekend clinical rotation.
11. Conduct insurance review calls as needed.
12. Complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Possession of a license and current registration as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York State or possession of a license and current registration as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.

Must meet the Civil Service requirements for a HELPs appointment to the qualifying title.

Must have a valid Driver's License

· No psychiatric experience required.
