Job Summary

Duties

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, measuring, and assembling ingredients
• Cook dishes according to established recipes and standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area to uphold food safety regulations
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety guidelines
• Support the team in meal presentation and portion control
• Help with serving food to customers or guests as required
• Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Follow all hygiene protocols during food handling and preparation processes

Skills

• Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is highly desirable
• Knowledge of kitchen safety procedures and food safety standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Experience in a restaurant or catering setting is advantageous
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks within the kitchen environment
