Job Summary:

Assist Lenders on maintaining current and accurate Consumer Loan files. Perform loan processing, closing, set-up, and follow up (servicing) responsibilities associated with the documentation and posting necessary in granting credit to Bank's borrowers by performing the following duties for customer lending. Incumbents will be expected to have a good understanding of the functional area so they may operate proficiently in this area by performing the following duties.

Duties:

  • Perform full range of duties pertaining to the loan processing/closing/servicing function.
  • Process all in-house loan payments/advances
  • Reconcile GLs, mail notices for advances, past due, rate changes, and process reports
  • Prepareprocess cure notices
  • Process charge-offs, partially changed-off, and non-accrual consumer loans
  • Prepare loan denials
  • Pull credit reports and flood certificates
  • Createmaintain all customer"specialty" loan files for compliance
  • File all consumer"specialty" loan documents
  • Mail out paid off loan notes and release collateral if necessary
  • Track consumer loan insurance
  • CRA tracking/address changes
  • UCC filingmonitoring on consumer"specialty" loans
  • Track and process titles
  • Credit Bureau Reporting
  • Answer customer inquiries and perform research if applicable
  • Process UMB and Fed
  • Ordertrack appraisals
  • Order coupon books
  • Book, fund, and track all consumer"specialty" loans
  • Process all maintenance on consumer"specialty" loans
  • Maintain all spreadsheetstickler systems within the loan support department
  • Synergy research for loan customers
  • Contact parties outside the bank as required, i.e.: abstractors, appraisers, county officials, insurance agents, attorneys, real estate agents, etc. acting on behalf of the bank
  • Prepare loan documents in LaserPro for consumer loans as requested by loan officer.
  • Review files prior to and after loan closing to ensure proper documents and disbursements are prepared accurately for each loan closing.
  • Prepare mortgage releases and release other collateral, if necessary, for commercial, commercial real estate, ag and ag real estate loans.
  • Assist Loan Officers with various loan document preparation
  • Handle customer inquiries and payoff requests
  • Handle multiple tasks in an accurate and timely manner

Other Duties:

  • Use Business Manager system to fund accounts and receivable and process payments.
  • Book and fund commercial, commercial real estate, ag, ag real estate, participationsold loans
  • Back up Floor Plan loans
  • Process participationsold loan payments/advances
  • Process all loan file maintenance as requested
  • Check back all file maintenance performed by co-worker
  • Create and maintain commercial, commercial real estate, ag, ag real estateparticipation files for compliance
  • New loan checkback
  • Forward collateral documents to the appropriate government office to be recorded
  • Monitor and update in-house and participation credit displays for credit line changes and loan risk ratings
  • Track all insurance
  • Check back participationsold loan payments/advances
  • File all loan documentation, as necessary
  • Prepare loan documents in LaserPro for commercial, commercial real estate, ag,ag real estate loans as requested by loan officer.
  • Board Book
  • Follow up to ensure proper recording of said lien(s)
  • Reconcile commercial and ag real estate closing cost checking account, legal fees checking account,participation checking account
  • Prepare closing cost letters
  • Contact participation banks as needed for documents, payment/advance inquiries, and questions
  • Scan, indexcheckback loan documents in Synergy
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Completion of a high school degree or equivalent to a high school degree.
  • 3 – 5 years, banking experience preferred, but not required.

Economics and Accounting - Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.

English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Mathematics - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure and ability to compute rate, ratio and percent is required.

Sales and Marketing - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.

Technical Skills - Requires a basic understanding of how to operate basic Microsoft PC software and be proficient in Word and Excel. Must be competent in internet usage and be able to use the PC to gather information from core systems. Solid understanding of electronic banking processes and terminologies is helpful. Possess good typing and written communication skills.

Law and Government - Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.

Administrative - Able to handle multiple tasks and meet required deadlines. This position requires strong organizational skills as well as good verbal and written communication skills. Must be a good listener and be able to follow directions. Must handle all customer and company information in a confidential manner. Be punctual in the job responsibilities.

Adaptability - Able to adjust quickly to different work situations; remain composed under pressure and in stressful situations. Must exercise independent judgment under moderate supervision.
