Join our Business Aviation Training Centre in Vienna (Schwechat) as the Local Head of Training where you’ll be part of our global Business Aviation Training and leadership team.
- Lead & Inspire: Empower a talented team of training professionals, guiding Training Managers to deliver exceptional results for both clients and instructors. You will manage a team of approximately 12 instructors and a Training manager (with approximately 20 instructors reporting directly to them), until we expand requiring more Training Managers that will report directly to you.
- Drive Innovation: Champion continuous improvement, spearheading strategic initiatives that elevate training standards and client satisfaction.
- Ensure Excellence: Oversee compliance with EASA, FAA, and UK CAA and other regulatory requirements, ensuring our programs set the benchmark for quality and safety.
- Collaborate Globally: Connect with CAE’s worldwide network, sharing best practices and integrating global training standards.
- Shape the Future: Partner with HR to attract top talent, nurture instructor development, and deliver impactful performance reviews.
- Training oversight: Recommend remedial training actions for pilots not meeting standard training schedules or performance
- Client Engagement: Maintain high level interaction with clients and potential clients as requested by the Head of Sales and/or Training Centre Leader.
- Guarantee the highest standards in flight simulation and theoretical instruction.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Optimize scheduling and resource planning to meet ambitious training goals.
- Build strong relationships with regulatory authorities, clients, and global teams.
- Lead with inspiration to continuously motivate the team to reach new heights
- As part of the Vienna Leadership team, collaborate with the other department head to develop strategies to meet the vision.
- Proven experience as a Flight Instructor or Examiner, with a track record in standards, management, or mentorship.
- Leadership of moderate to large teams, with a passion for resolving complex challenges.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office and modern digital tools.
- Extensive instructional experience relevant to ATO training, holding (or having recently held) a professional license and ratings per ICAO Annex 1.
- Working knowledge of EASA regulations and preferably FAA regulations.
