Function:
Responsible for analyzing and coordinating the ongoing logistical functions of a firm or organization across the entire product life cycle. This includes acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, maintenance, and final disposal of resources. The analyst supports system readiness by planning and executing logistics strategies that ensure operational continuity and mission effectiveness.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct logistics support planning and analysis to ensure system reliability and readiness.
• Perform technical assessments of operational problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Support acquisition and management of spare parts, tools, and support equipment.
• Schedule and coordinate field inspections and planned upgrades.
• Maintain and update system documentation and configuration records.
• Provide configuration management oversight to ensure systems and components are properly identified and tracked.
• Ensure availability of required equipment and spare parts to meet operational demands.
• Deliver rapid-response logistics support, typically within 24 hours, to address urgent operational issues.
• Conduct readiness assessments and inspections of in-service mission-dependent (MD) systems.
• Develop and implement quick-fix and long-term sustainment solutions.

Education Requirements:

• Required: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS). No specific discipline required.
• Allowable Substitutions:
• Associate’s degree (AS/AA) plus four (4) years of additional work experience directly related to the duties outlined above.
• High School diploma/GED plus five (5) years of additional work experience directly related to the duties outlined above.

Experience Requirements:

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience performing logistics functions related to the responsibilities listed in this position description.
