Description:
About the Role.
The Logistics Coordinator supports the planning and delivery of logistics for preparedness, recovery and training activities across the DRRT. This is a paid, part-time role,10 hours per week fixed role until 30/06/2026.
Working closely with the DRRT leadership team, Operations Coordinator and National Logistics, you’ll help ensure logistics arrangements are well planned, coordinated and operationally ready to support safe and effective activities. This includes supporting logistics documentation and SOPs, uniform and equipment stocktake and maintenance, fleet coordination and vehicle bookings, and the preparation, packing and return of equipment for DRRT activities
You’ll also collaborate with National Safety and Operations to support logistics-related safety documentation and inductions, provide regular logistics updates to the DRRT Associate Director, and assist with coordinating volunteer Logistics Associates. This is a Hybrid role with occasional attendance at DRRT Qld Sth Office in Hendra.
Skills and Experiences:
About You
You bring an understanding of logistics, operational planning or coordination principles, and ideally an understanding of disaster recovery, emergency management or community-based operations. You’re practical, reliable, and comfortable working with documentation, systems and planning tools.
You’re flexible, solutions-focused and team-oriented, and motivated by contributing to meaningful outcomes for communities and fellow volunteers. You’re comfortable adapting to changing priorities and supporting operations in dynamic environments.
