Job Title : Logistics Manager
Report to: Chief Operations Officer
Our organization, a rapidly growing leader in the exhibition, is seeking dynamic and highly organized professionals for the role of Logistics Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Logistics Manager to join our team in the exhibition industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all logistical aspects of exhibitions and merchandises to ensure their seamless execution. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Planning:
Develop detailed logistics plans for exhibitions, shops, including transportation, shipping, and onsite coordination. Coordinate with event organizers, venues, vendors, and contractors to ensure all logistical requirements are met.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with logistics service providers, including freight companies, equipment rental providers, and onsite staff.
Ensure vendors meet quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
Inventory and Resource Management:
Oversee the transportation and storage of materials, exhibition booths, and equipment.
Maintain an accurate inventory of all assets and materials related to exhibitions.
Onsite Exhibition Coordination:
Manage the setup and breakdown of exhibition stands, shops, ensuring compliance with venue rules and safety standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges during events.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all shipping, customs, and import/export regulations are adhered to for international exhibitions.
Prepare and maintain all required documentation, including shipping manifests, permits, and risk assessments.
Leadership and Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners to align on expectations and deliverables.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage budgets for event logistics, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.
Monitor expenditures and provide post-event financial reporting.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Event Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, preferably within the exhibition, events, or live entertainment industries.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics management software and tools, knowledge of freight and customs processes, and a solid understanding of event production requirements.
- Core Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for events.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, during event periods.
- Certification in logistics or project management is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €45,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Work Location: Hybrid remote in CO. Dublin, CO. Dublin
