Logistics Manager

Metal Recovery Industries is a leading metal recycler in the Queensland Mining Industry. We are now seeking experienced Logistics Manager to join our team on a full-time and permanent basis. We require reliable individuals with strong integrity who can contribute a positive, can-do attitude to both the role and the team

Key duties include but are not limited to:

• Plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the supply, storage and distribution of goods produced by the company.
• Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.
• Determine, implement and monitor purchases, storage and distribution strategies, policies and plans
• Prepare and implement plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements
• Monitor and review storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels
• Operate recording systems to track all movements of supplies and finished goods, and ensuring re-ordering and re-stocking at optimal times
• Liaise with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation
• Oversee the recording of purchase, storage and distribution transactions
• Responding to any issues or complaints.
• Provision of products and services to meet customer or client requirements
• Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
• Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.

Logistics Manager Requirements:

• Minimum associate degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain, or relevant field, preferably bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
• In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry.
• Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software.

Salary $70,000 - $80,000 +Super
