Integrated Logistics (NL) Ltd. is a full-service stevedoring and materials handling company with operations across Newfoundland and Labrador. As operations continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Management Lead to join our team at the Long Harbour Processing Plant in Long Harbour, Newfoundland.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Vice-President and COO, the Management Lead is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and performance of site services within a 24/7 operation. The role oversees ship loading and unloading, terminal operations, and related field services across the Integrated Logistics network, while leading a team of supervisors and operational employees to meet targets for safety, operational performance, customer service, quality, and health and safety compliance.
The Management Lead works closely with employees, clients, consultants, labourers, contractors, and other stakeholders to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations and to meet customer commitments.
This is a full-time position based at the Long Harbour site. The regular schedule is Monday to Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with availability required outside these hours based on operational needs. Travel between Long Harbour, St. John’s, and Argentia is required.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and Operational Support
- Oversee and coordinate vessel loading and discharge activities, including supervising crews of 5–10 or more employees.
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and labour resources to support safe and efficient operations.
- Lead daily site operations in a safe, productive, and quality-focused environment.
- Act as the primary liaison between the site team, clients, consultants, contractors, labourers, and other stakeholders.
- Support employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, progression planning, and terminations in partnership with Human Resources and in accordance with applicable collective agreements.
- Complete project reviews and report concerns, setbacks, achievements, and performance issues to senior leadership.
Operations Excellence
- Monitor working conditions and enforce safe work practices to maintain efficient operations.
- Develop, review, and revise:
- Standard Operating Procedures
- Operational Policies
- Offload Plans
- Lift Plans
- Other operational and safety documentation
- Monitor project performance, quality assurance, and operational results to support continuous improvement.
Health, Safety, and Environment
- Provide leadership in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance by enforcing all company, client, and legislated policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety meetings, incident investigations, and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Report incidents, hazards, and safety concerns promptly and accurately.
- Work safely in environments involving mineral concentrates and chemical reagents.
- Maintain a clean-shaven appearance and wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators, for extended periods when required.
Customer Service
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Respond to operational issues and changing client needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Support safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery that meets client and operational expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in management, transport logistics, engineering, or any other related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management – preferably in marine, mining, logistics or construction
- Practical experience in the application of preventive measures in occupational health and safety, continuous improvement processes, supervision, and project management
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

- Availability for occasional trips to the St. John’s, and Argentia offices
