L&T (Holdover) Litigation Paralegal

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Commencement of cases to recover possession of property (Holdover), including:
  • Draft Notices to Cure, of Default, to Quit, of Non-Renewal, of Termination
  • Draft and file Notices of Petition & Petitions;
  • Coordinate with Process Servers to ensure all of notices/demands are properly served;
  • Coordinate the filing of documents with the Court, whether electronic or in-person;
  • Maintain and monitor the progress of case files to ensure all deadlines are met, and to resolve any issues.
  • Assist Attorneys with the filing Supreme Court documents electronically in New York State Court Electronic Filing;
  • Prepare correspondence and documents for service;
  • Assist with trial preparation;
  • Assist with daily and other administrative tasks as assigned;

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s Degree or higher
  • 1+ years of Landlord & Tenant paralegal experience, or related Real Estate Management experience
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision;
  • Excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on collaboration;
  • Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar;
  • Responds promptly to client needs; Maintains confidentiality, Upholds firm values;
  • Experienced with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
