Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lumber Trader to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of risk management, and people management principles. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the commodities trading sector, focusing on the lumber market. The Lumber Trader will be responsible for executing trades, analyzing market trends, and managing risk to maximize profitability while adhering to industry regulations. This is a full commission trading position with unlimited earning potential.
Duties
- Execute buying and selling transactions of lumber commodities in accordance with market conditions and company strategies.
- Conduct comprehensive research on market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and economic indicators affecting the lumber industry.
- Utilize financial software such as Bloomberg and other trading platforms to monitor prices, analyze data, and inform trading decisions.
- Perform risk analysis and risk management assessments to mitigate potential losses and optimize investment outcomes.
- Engage in negotiations with suppliers, buyers, and brokers to secure favorable terms and prices.
- Analyze financial concepts related to asset management, securities law, and investment strategies to support trading activities.
- Maintain detailed records of trades, market movements, and compliance documentation in accordance with securities law and company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in lumber trading.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the supply chain.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate market insights clearly and professionally. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00-$500,000.00 per year
