Norcen Distributors is a local, family run building supply company since 1997. Located in Headingley just outside the perimeter on Wilkes Avenue. We are looking for hard working individuals to join our team.

Full Time – 40 hours per week

Monday-Friday 7am-4pm and 8am-5pm shifts

Job Duties of Lumber Yard Driver/Worker:

• Deliveries to customers including some orders being unloaded by hand
• Driving a 3 ton or 5 ton Truck
• Loading, strapping and unloading order
• Driving industrial lift trucks and forklifts
• Picking lumber and other supplies for order
• Building crates and pallets
• Various duties around the yard

Job Requirements of Lumber Yard Driver/Worker:

• Experience driving a 3 ton or 5 ton Truck.
• Must have your own transportation – there is no bus to location
• Physically fit - Ability to lift 50lbs
• Steel toe safety boots
• Valid Drivers License
• Knowledge of building materials and forklift experience an asset but will train
• Work well with others in a team environment and the ability to work independently
• Capable of following safety procedures and equipment maintenance
• Punctual and self-motivated

Licence needed for Lumber Yard Worker:

• Class 5 Drivers License - proof and a drivers license abstract may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Experience:

• Driving: 1 year (preferred)
• driving a 3 or 5 ton truck: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Class 5 Licence (required)
