Machine Operator/Assembler

Well established production company located in Monroe, MI is looking for some General Laborers to join their growing team!

The positions we are seeking to fill are for assemblers & mill operators.

Our assemblers will package the pre-cut materials in 4’ x 8’ boxes that move down a conveyor, paying close attention to quality of the product and precise location of the placement of the wood materials and hardware. You will be given a "box blueprint" and be expected to package each box as shown in your blueprint. You will be expected to communicate with your HILO driver when you need additional components delivered as to not stop production.

Mill operators will be expected to operate machinery safely according to the instructions given. Being able to read a tape measure is a necessary requirement for this position. No previous machine experience necessary, proper training will be provided. Safety is our highest priority.

These are hands-on roles requiring physical labor and you will be standing, bending, twisting and reaching during your shift. An ability to lift 50 lbs is necessary and will be used on a regular basis.

This is a primarily 1st shift position (with the occasional 3rd shift opening for mill operators), and the hours can vary week to week depending on orders.

Report time is 6 AM with a tentative ending time at 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday. Weekend overtime is never required, but is voluntary as it is available. (3rd shift hours are 7:30 PM - 6:00 AM, Sunday-Thursday).

Pay: $15 / hour (3rd shift pays $16/hr.) Weekly pay.

This is a temp to hire position. Hard work, attendance, and following procedures and policies are what supervisors pay attention to for a hiring in at 90 days.
