Overview

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Machine Set-Up Operator and play a vital role in ensuring efficient and precise production processes. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for preparing and configuring machinery to produce high-quality components, supporting continuous workflow, and maintaining safety standards. Your expertise will help drive operational excellence and contribute to the delivery of top-tier products.

Duties

  • Set up and calibrate various manufacturing equipment including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining instructions to ensure accurate setup and operation.
  • Operate hand tools, calipers, and other measurement devices to verify dimensions and quality standards during setup.
  • Program CNC machinery using CNC programming languages to optimize cutting, shaping, and assembly processes.
  • Conduct quality inspections throughout the setup process to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
  • Assist with machine maintenance, troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Support assembly tasks as needed, ensuring components are correctly aligned and assembled according to standards.
  • This position is ideal for someone who is confident setting up CNC machines and enjoys working on a variety of parts instead of repetitive production work.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery such as CNC equipment, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming languages and software tools used in machining operations.
  • Ability to use hand tools, calipers, and other measurement instruments for precise setup and inspection.
  • Basic math skills for calculating measurements, tolerances, and machine adjustments.
  • Valid certifications or experience with crane operation and forklift driving preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to manufacturing environments including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
