POSITION

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly skilled and enthusiastic Machine Shop Assistant to join our team. This is a fast-paced organization in a one-of-a-kind field. Responsibilities include maintaining your workstation, tumbling parts, using a bandsaw and maintaining our Shop to keep it clean and organized. The ideal candidate will be available to work on-site for day shifts Monday thru Friday, occasional weekends may be necessary. This is a floating position where you may need to fulfill multiple roles. If you have basic knowledge of hand tools, such as a hammer and a bandsaw, this position is for you. If you can put together a bookshelf, you may have the skills needed. You will be exposed to CNC Machinery and have the opportunity to develop CNC operator and set up skills. This is an excellent entry level CNC machining opportunity.

WORK LOCATION: On-Site (Remote work not available)

Daily tasks include:

· Deburring, tumbling, polishing, washing and drying of parts

· Bead / sand blasting parts

· Emptying / cleaning out chip pans on CNC machines

· Maintaining coolant level and mixture on CNC machines

· Emptying chip barrels of CNC machines

· Cutting stock on the band saw for CNC machines

· Maintaining stock inventory

· Put stock away upon delivery

· Maintaining machine shop to keep it clean and organized

· Maintaining machine cleanliness

· Perform any other tasks that are needed

Requirements:

Basic math skills

Lifting heavy metal stock

Walking / standing (8 hrs)

Able to use measuring equipment (calipers, tape measure, ruler, scale, etc)

Able to stay on task without constant supervision

Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
