Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.) Experience: Experience an asset Work Setting: General manufacturing Wage: Can Range from $24.00- $35.00 depending on experience Type of Machine Experience: Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and Manual Equipment Machining Tools and Machines: Automatic lathes, CNC machines, Milling machines Measuring Tools: Micrometers, Callipers, Gauges Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Specific Skills: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, Program computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, Set up and adjust production machinery, Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments, Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, coveralls Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation
