Position Overview
Supporting both the R&D and Production departments, the Machinist is responsible for the manufacturing and modification of parts using various machining tools and equipment. This includes testing and improving existing parts according to manufacturability and customer requirements. Creativity is critical in this role

Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain CNC machines to produce high quality components
- Read and interpret detailed CAD designs to determine specifications for machining tasks
- Draft or modify part designs to be used in prototypes or products
- Safely utilize and maintain drill press, grinder, lathe and other machining equipment as necessary
- Test and inspect prototypes for fit and functionality
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize products and improve efficiency
- Document procedures and create production guides for future assemblies or modifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Diploma in manufacturing, or a related field
- Proven experience and proficiency in CAD software (or similar) for designing and modifying parts
- Experience with CNC operation and maintenance
- Creativity and problem-solving skills are essential
- Hands-on experience with power tools and assembly processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
- Strong communication skills
- General knowledge of the safe operation of machine shop equipment

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
