About Us:
The Dawson Hostel is a busy, centrally located hostel in the heart of Dublin. We pride ourselves on offering guests a safe, comfortable, and welcoming stay. We’re now looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Person to join our team and help keep our property in top shape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs across the property (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.)
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of communal areas, fixtures, and equipment
- Coordinate with management to ensure compliance with safety standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, or facilities role preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repair work
- Reliable, punctual, and able to prioritize tasks
- Flexibility to work some weekends or evenings if required
