Maintenance Associate

We are currently seeking a skilled general Maintenance Associate to perform repairs and maintenance at agency program residences and offices, with janitorial responsibilities at our office locations throughout New Hampshire

Hours: 8:00 am-4:00 pm Monday - Friday 40 hours a week

Pay: $21.00/HR.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Under the general supervision and direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs various general maintenance and repairs to maintain buildings, equipment, fixtures and grounds.
  • Responds to a variety of maintenance calls/work orders and perform repairs in a timely manner.
  • Utilizes maintenance software to manage the completion of work orders.
  • Inspects company properties for items in need of repairs. Enters items into a computerized work order system for assignment and completion by self or others.
  • Utilizes company vehicle to travel to agency sites as required
  • Provides regular cleaning services to office locations.
  • Treats all individuals supported by the agency with respect and dignity

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide repair work- including, carpentry, plumbing, flooring, light electrical, wall repair, and painting.
  • Purchase maintenance and janitorial supplies, and track expenses
  • Provide moving assistance as needed
  • Required to use a variety of tools, and other equipment to perform assigned duties.
  • Provide routine office janitorial services, including floor cleaning, dusting, surface cleaning and disinfecting, and trash removal.
  • Ensure a safe work environment, and communicates safety concerns immediately to the supervisor
  • May assist with on-call responsibilities to address urgencies.
  • all other duties as assigned by supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years experience related to building maintenance trades is preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Physically able to use power tools / equipment in a safe and proper manor. Ability to move heavy items on occasion.
  • Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions.
  • 18 years or older.
  • Current drivers license, and clean driving record.
