Maintenance Driver Operator (Mdo)

Reporting to the Senior MDO, the successful candidate is responsible for maintaining the airfield for the safe operation of aircraft. Duties included, but are not limited to, snow clearing, grass cutting, wildlife control, security, crack sealing, building maintenance, airfield inspections, basic electrical maintenance, and equipment maintenance.

Job requirements:

Valid class 5 driver's license (driver abstract required before employment);

Air Brakes endorsement or ability to obtain within probation period;

Experience operating heavy equipment;

Ability to pass several in-person and online training courses;

Ability to obtain an Airside Vehicle Operator's Permit (AVOP) within probation period;

Ability to obtain an Aeronautical Restricted Radio Operators License within probation period;

In possession of a Firearms Possession Acquisition Licence or the ability to obtain within probation period;

Ability to work with a minimum of supervision;

Must be available for emergency call-outs after hours based on a shared rotating schedule.

Pay will be reviewed after sucsessful completion of the probatrion peridod.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Starting at $28.87 per hour

Summer Shift: 0700 to 1530, Monday to Friday

Winter Shift: 0700 to 1530, Tuesday to Saturday

Overtime Hours: As required (primarily for snow events and construction)
